Have your runners sharpened and profiled from the comfort of your home when you use our Mail-in Service! For just $20, you get UPS 2-Day Shipping labels that you can use to ship up to three sets of runners. Profiling and Sharpening costs per pair are the same as the chart above.
Simply call us at 800.366.3070 where we will take your sharpening, profiling and shipping information. We’ll then email you a pre-paid shipping label. Before shipping them out, please ensure your runners are fully secured in a paperboard envelope for a single pair or in a small box for two to three pairs. IW is not responsible for any damage or loss to the blades until they are in our possession.
Once your runners are packed and ready, slap on the shipping label and drop them off at your nearest UPS store (you can locate one here). We will take care of the rest!

What’s the difference between sharpening and profiling?Sharpening is all about creating the perfect edge on your skate blades, giving you the grip and control you need on the ice. Profiling, shapes the entire blade to suit your skating style, which can improve your speed, power, and agility, depending on what you need most.
How do I know if I need my skates sharpened or profiled? If you’re feeling like your edges aren’t biting in the way they should, or your edges feel slow or sloppy, a fresh sharpening’s probably the way to go. Profiling is for those looking to fine-tune their performance, whether it’s for more speed or better stability. Not sure? Our team can always help you figure it out!
Can I mail my skates in for sharpening or profiling?Answer: Absolutely! We’ve got a Mail-in service for skate sharpening and profiling. Just call us up, we’ll send you a prepaid UPS label, and you send your runners (only runners, not complete skates!) to us. Easy peasy.
What does Elite Blade Performance Technology mean?It means you’re getting the best of the best. The E-S4 Sharpener and the E-P3 Profiler are top-of-the-line machines known for precision and consistency, trusted by NHL players and equipment managers. They deliver every time, perfect edges and perfect profiles tailored just for your skating style.
How much is it for sharpening and profiling?Skate sharpening is $8, and if you want both sharpening and profiling, it’s $58. If you're using our Mail-in service, shipping both ways is just $20.
How long does it take to get my skates back?Once we get your skates, we’re looking at about 1-2 business days to get them sharpened and profiled. If you’re using the Mail-in service, expect 2-3 business days for delivery, depending on where you’re at.
Can I send my complete skates for sharpening or profiling? We only accept runners (aka blades) for Mail-in service. We’ll take care of the rest once they’re in our hands!
What if my blades get damaged in transit? We recommend securing your runners well before shipping. While we can’t be held responsible for damage during shipping, once your skates are in our possession, we’ll make sure they’re in good hands.
What profiles do you offer, and which one should I pick? We’ve got a variety of profiles depending on what you’re looking for. Polaris is all about speed, Quad is perfect for stability and power, and Triple.1 gives you that aggressive acceleration.
